Role:
Client is recruiting within their mobile team for an experienced C++ and UNIX ( Solaris, Linux or AIX ) developer. This particular team has very high visibility across the business and has been a development ground for future leaders of the business – they develop an industry leading solution for sell side trading – this role DOES NOT require any prior financial experience.
The client is looking for someone with experience of end-to-end solutions for mobile devices such as Blackberry, iOs and Android including the development of the services that provide the data. The real-time services are written in C++ and Java, and have high reliability and performance criteria. On the front-end side, a good understanding of UI design and experience with device-side application development would be beneficial.
Skills:
- C++ development experience is essential, with exposure to the full SDLC
- A deep understanding of multithreading and networking concepts
- Understanding of design patterns
Other desirable skills include:
- Java experience
- Experience developing applications for one or more mobile platforms such as BlackBerry, iOS and Android
- Knowledge of developing web applications
- Server-side development experience on UNIX, .NET platforms
