Activities:
- As a member of the team, the Software Engineer will be responsible for the complete software development cycle from design through to testing
- The engineer may also be involved in the specification process working closely with the Product Management team
- Work may be on strategic software development programmes or on customer specific solutions
- Image processing algorithm development, especially for the analysis of X-ray images of semi-conductor devices
- Development and maintenance of the X-ray control system software
Skills and experience:
- Good mathematical skills
- Experience of C#, C++ or Java software development
- Development of software for Microsoft Windows (XP or 7)
- Physics knowledge to at least A-level
- Mathematics, Science, Engineering or Numerate degree or equivalent
- Image processing experience
- Use of Microsoft Visual Studio and Subversion
- High Performance Multi-threaded software applications experience
